Stories Across Borders
Since 2022, aid from Latvia to Ukraine has travelled thousands of kilometres. Sometimes in a car packed to the roof. Sometimes in the form of a generator for a hospital, a computer for a school, or a drone that can do a person’s job on the front line. Other times, it all starts with a concert in Riga and someone sitting at home in front of the telly who donates a few euros.
Over the past four and a half years, together with businesspeople, donors, government bodies, volunteers and friends, we have delivered aid to Ukraine totalling more than 23 million euros in value. There are more than 1,000 drones, more than 1,300 vehicles, more than 300 generators, medical and technical equipment, as well as support for the reconstruction of homes, schools and hospitals.
These stories are about what happens next with the aid – where it goes, who needs it and what it enables people to do.
