Our friends and neighbours at Drone House are offering children and young people the chance to learn the basics of drone piloting free of charge, discover the technology and try their hand at practical flights.

The training programme comprises three sessions, totalling 10 hours, during which participants, under the guidance of experienced instructors, will learn about the principles of drone operation, practise on flight simulators and acquire practical piloting skills. All the necessary equipment is provided by Drone House.

And, now that you’re on our side, we’d love for you to pop into the headquarters of the “Entrepreneurs for Peace” foundation too! It’s right next door, and we’d be happy to tell you how Latvian businesses and the public are helping Ukraine’s defenders, what equipment is needed at the front, and how technology – including drones – is helping to save lives. It will also be an opportunity for the younger generation to learn about our work and find out how anyone can get involved and help.

Practical information about the training courses

The training takes place at the Drone House centre in Riga, at 18 Patversmes Street, and consists of three sessions:

• Tuesdays, 6.30 pm–9.00 pm
• Thursdays, 6.30 pm–9.00 pm
• Saturdays, 10.00–15.00

Participation is free of charge, but advance registration is required. Once you have registered, the Drone House team will contact parents to offer a place in one of the upcoming groups.
